Bread Besan Toast | Besan Toast
Equipment
- Cast Iron Pan
MEASUREMENT
1 cup = 250ml, 1 tablespoon = 15ml, 1 teaspoon = 5ml
Ingredients
- 1 cup Besan/Gram Flour
- 1 Large Onion Finely Chopped
- 1 Large Tomato De-sseded & Finely Chopped
- 1 Green Capsicum Finely Chopped
- ¼ cup Coriander Leaves Finely Chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- ½ teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- Salt as needed
- Water as needed
- Oil as needed
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl add gram flour, finely chopped onions, tomatoes, capsicum and coriander leaves. Add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and salt as needed.
- Mix everything well together.
- Add water little by little and mix the batter until it is thick. It should coat the vegetables well and should not be runny.
- Now take a slice of bread and dip it in the besan batter. Coat it well and turn it around to coat the other side too.
- Meanwhile heat a cast iron pan on medium heat. Carefully lift the bread with the help of a spoon and place it on the hot pan.
- Drizzle oil around the edges and cook it on the lowest flame.
- After 2-3 mins, when the bottom is cooked and crispy, carefully flip it to the other side.
- Cook on the other side until golden brown and remove from heat. Repeat the same with rest of the bread slices.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup and spicy green chutney.
